The ORLEN Skylight Accelerator is entering its fourth year of operation. In this relatively short period of time, 12 rounds of recruitment have already been successfully conducted with the participation of more than 800 technology companies, Polish and foreign. The number of companies in the accelerator’s portfolio is also systematically increasing – after each round, more startups start cooperating with the industrial giant. And it’s not just piloting, carried out using available technological solutions and infrastructure belonging to ORLEN Group companies. ORLEN Skylight Accelerator offers the best teams the opportunity to cooperate with ORLEN Group on a commercial basis.
From challenge to implementation
However, before a cooperation agreement can be signed, it is necessary to submit an application to the accelerator program. The recruitment period lasts until Monday, February 17. Traditionally, you should start the application process by carefully studying the list of ORLEN Group business challenges. What can you find on it this time? The challenges have been ranked in four main categories:
- digital organization – including, among other things, solutions for automatic simultaneous translation of phone calls and audio calls
- the modern station and customer of the future – including, among other things, a loyalty system for personalizing offers based on customer behavior or transactions
- Industry 4.0 and safe and innovative organization – including, among other things, a marking system for explosion hazard zones
- Industry 4.0, energy and process optimization – including, among others, an IoT system for monitoring the level of storage tank unreliability
The full list of challenges is available at the link.
The ORLEN Skylight Accelerator program provides an opportunity for a startup to develop its technology through a pilot implementation, as well as to receive the necessary expert support from employees of ORLEN Group companies participating in the accelerator. The exchange of knowledge and experience is expected to make startups participating in the accelerator ready to commercialize their solutions and offer them on the market.
Who will create the energy of tomorrow with ORLEN Group?
It is worth mentioning that at the beginning of January, ORLEN Group announced a new strategy, “The energy of tomorrow begins today.” This is the largest development investment program in the history of the company. Its goals include increasing gas production, building four offshore wind farms, large-scale energy storage facilities and at least two small nuclear power plants.
It is highly likely that the startups selected in the current ORLEN Skylight Accelerator call will be able to pursue this bold venture: their solution will become part of a major development program.
