Tailorbet Limited is looking for a software engineer to handle front-end Web, mobile, and API development. This individual will be working with existing code. Other responsibilities include communication with the rest of the team, debugging and problem solving, and should also be familiar with various test-driven development methodologies. This individual has received high marks from past supervisors for architecting scalable solutions and writing quality code. The applicant must be able to work in a small, fast paced, team environment that spreads across different geography.

Location: Douglas, Isle of Man
Experience Level: 2+ years in development

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • communication with the rest of team members
  • development of secure and performance oriented system functionalities
  • architecture design evaluation for extensibility and modularity
  • problem detection, problem solving and debugging
  • updating and debugging an existing mobile browser interface and mobile app in both it’s native language (javascript or Objective-C) or with Appcelerator tools
  • serving as liaison to the mobile app graphic designer who will design the mobile app User Interface

Qualifications:

  • object Oriented Programming experience a must
  • BS in CS or related discipline required
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • experience with front end development
  • excel in both an independent as well as a team oriented environment
  • demonstrated ability to solve complex system level problems.
  • web programming with knowledge of PHP, JQuery, HTML5, JSON, XML and CSS
  • MySQL or other database
  • API knowledge
  • a plus – security related experience such as OpenSSL, encryption protocol
  • a plus – mobile programming for iOS and/or Android platform
