We are looking for Junior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our family in our R&D office in Wrocław!
At Positionly, we create a simple and user-friendly SEO analytical tool that is understandable even for beginners. We give businesses and organizations the power to be more competitive on the search engines and progress in the tough competition of today’s world.
At Positionly, you will mostly be responsible for developing new features in our flagship product and adding new things to our existing codebase (100% back-end).
Positionly is not another small startup in Rails, our architecture contains:
- 2×2 dedicated Postgres servers for the two main bases (now >1.6TB data)
- 3+ apps in Rails, 6+ in Ruby, 1 in Go (we’ve just made a few recently)
- A couple internally created Gems
- Several dozens of GB daily traffic
- More than 40k commits total
- 6+ Bare Metal App Servers
- 4+ integrations with various business partners over our API
- 2M monthly requests performed by our users alone and more than 100M between different backend apps
- 4M background jobs performed daily
REQUIREMENTS
- Some love for ruby & hunger for more
- Basic knowledge of Ruby on Rails (>= 4)
- Knowledge of databases (in particular PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity with http protocol (cookies, sessions and all that)
- Good communication skills
- Good knowledge of English
- Knowledge of other programming language(s), redis, elasticsearch is a plus
