We’re looking for a fantastically talented, enthusiastic, friendly and capable Web Developer to join our super team at TechHub.

We’re committed to making a difference to tech startups in London and beyond, having already launched TechHub Swansea, TechHub Bucharest, TechHub Riga, TechHub Bangalore, TechHub Madrid, TechHub Warsaw and have some very exciting announcements on the horizon about new international locations on the way!

At TechHub you will be part of a truly global organisation and work with the extended TechHub family across the world.

The tech “team” in TechHub is led by the awesome Mattia, our lead developer, who you will work with closely and report to. Mattia hosts our Developers Forum for TechHub members and is well known by the international TechHub community. We also use a top-class agency in Europe who provide additional support on major projects.

The Role

TechHub’s mission is to build a truly global network for technology entrepreneurs and we know the role our own technology can play in this mission. We are looking for a new team member to join TechHub to help build tools to better connect TechHub’s members across the network.

This includes:

• Building a new TechHub mobile/web app
• Integrate a new online Members network that’s the place where our members can share ideas, ask questions and collaborate
• Developing an event system where our members can see what’s happening and get involved in our events
• Other tools to help communicate with our members

This role can be based in either MADRID, WARSAW or even LONDON all depending on the candidates experience.

Our Stack

• AWS (S3, EB, EC2, Cloudfront, Route 53)
• Node, Express, Hapi, Angular 1.x, MySQL, Socket.io
• A couple of microservices running on a DigitalOcean droplet.
• Most of our web stuff is based on REST API and we have some SPA built with Angular 1.
• Firebase and Heroku on a few small projects.
• Raspberry Pi: we love them and we have a lot of them in place doing different things like kiosk browser, headless server to collect stats or streaming client for our global live streaming based on Nest Cams.

We like open-source and share whenever we can 🙂

Our Ideal Candidate

• Javascript ninja: you know how to build REST APIs with Node.js but also how to consume them.
• 2+ years of experience working on web apps
• You are passionate about technology and web development
• You think that when it comes to web development you’ll never stop learning
• You read a lot of articles in your spare time and feel you always know where the web is going. You like to play with new tools and frameworks
• Bonus: experience with React Native, Stripe and Braintree payments integration, Mailchimp/Mandrill.
